mcmillan homestead
Thomas F. McMillan, probably Flagstaff's first permanent resident (arrived in 1876), built this square log house in 1886, later covering it with siding. Ted Danson of Cheers fame lived here when his father was a director of the Museum of Northern Arizona.

Beautiful old place...Iimagine you know the history of the homestead. I think you will enjoy being a docent. I surely enjoy volunteering at the San Diego Natural Histroy Museum. I learn a lot and meet wonderful people. Enjoy! Eve
ReplyDeleteAbout 12,000 B.C.E, humans are thought to have crossed the land bridge at the Bering Straits. Some of them who are now the Navajo arrived in the Colorado Plateau about 1400 C.E. where they met the Pueblo people who were here since about 100 B.C.E. Right now I am zooming in and telling the story of Flagstaff from the flagpole inception.
