biking flagstaff: morning bike ride

8 comments:

  1. So far I have 3 forms of bike riding -- Enduro, where I pedal like hell in the highest gear I can handle for long distances over varied terrain; Photo Op -- where I meander here and yon wherever the spirit takes me stopping at every photo opportunity; Combo -- self-explanatory. Yesterday was Enduro. This morning was Photo Op.

  3. hey george! this little duck i saw on your post: the one with the messed up beak. (i've seen this little guy at the duck pond. he's one of 10 born this spring) does anyone know if his beak was a fishing accident or some sort of damage done after birth, or if one could link it to something in the water... has anyone looked at the health of our little Francis Short Pond for a warning of what we could expect on the mountain?

  5. apl, the duck you refer to can be seen here http://walkingflagstaff.blogspot.com/2011/08/wednesday-walk.html

I do not know its story, whether mutation, human encounter, or combo of the two -- mutation caused by human enviro-foul. Perhaps someone else can add some light.
